Havoline Extra SAE 15W-40 is a high performance, higher-ash semi-synthetic passenger car engine oil designed to meet ACEA A3/B4 specifications, and critical original equipment manufacturers (OEM) requirements.

- Can also be used where oils are recommended meeting the former API SM/SL/SJ/SH/SG
- Year-round use in high performance gasoline passenger car engines and light van diesel engines without diesel particulate filter (DPF). For severe operating conditions where extended drain intervals are specified by the manufacturers
- Recommended for VW gasoline engines built until August 1999
- Recommended for VW IDI diesel engines without pump injectors and without diesel particulate filters (DPF)
